Cleveland Clinic

Cleveland Clinic is a nonprofit multispecialty academic medical center that integrates clinical and hospital care with research and education. Located in Cleveland, Ohio, it was founded in 1921 by four renowned physicians with a vision of providing outstanding patient care based upon the principles of cooperation, compassion and innovation. Cleveland Clinic has pioneered many medical breakthroughs, including coronary artery bypass surgery and the first face transplant in the United States. U.S.News & World Report consistently names Cleveland Clinic as one of the nation’s best hospitals in its annual “America’s Best Hospitals” survey. More than 3,000 full-time salaried physicians and researchers and 11,000 nurses represent 120 medical specialties and subspecialties. The Cleveland Clinic health system includes a main campus near downtown Cleveland, more than 75 Northern Ohio outpatient locations, including 16 full-service Family Health Centers, Cleveland Clinic Florida, the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in Las Vegas, Cleveland Clinic Canada, and, currently under construction, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. In 2012, there were 5.1 million outpatient visits throughout the Cleveland Clinic health system and 157,000 hospital admissions. Patients came for treatment from every state and from over 130 countries.

Personal Workplace Safety Instrument for Emergency Nurses

$149.00

The frequency, severity, and risk factors associated with patient-visitor violence against emergency nurses are well documented. Patient-visitor violence has been associated with lower quality measures for units with high frequency and severity of incidents, greater intent to leave the unit/hospital/profession, and PTSD-like symptoms for victims. This survey instrument identifies factors that make emergency nurses feel safe from patient-visitor violence and its supporting constructs. It can be used in the following ways:

$2,800.00

Professional Environment Assessment Scale

$199.00

The Positive Professional Practice Environment Assessement Scale (PPEAS) was developed based upon the belief that a positive professional practice environment is more than and different from just the absence of negative, abusive, or disrespectful behaviors by physicians. Thus, unlike other instruments, which assess the professional practice environment, the PPEAS measures the positive features of the professional practice environment instead of the absence of negative features; and it measures perceptions of both nurses and physicians.

Nurses’ Comfort in and Frequency of Delivering Heart Failure Education Questionnaire

$199.00

A validated questionnaire on the topic of nurses' comfort in and frequency of delivering education to patients on heart failure self-care.  Heart failure (HF) rehospitalization rates are high and self-care education is needed before patients can be adherent to expectations.  Nurse comfort in and frequency of delivery of HF education before hospital discharge can be used to determine whether this is a problem within any organization.

Nurses’ Knowledge of Heart Failure Self-Care Education Questionnaire

$199.00

Nurses are the leaders in education of patients with heart failure; BUT, they may not have a strong knowledge base themselves.  This survey tests nurses' knowledge of heart failure self-care principles related to diet, medications, activity, signs and symptoms of worsening condition and fluid management. The tool was tested for face and content validity using HF experts (3 MSN's, + 1 non masters prepared RN) and had 2 "education" experts also reviewed for wording.
